Did you know sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young athletes? As supporters of the Coon Rapids Community, the Coon Rapids Fire Department Community Fund aims to raise awareness and funds to help young athletes in our area and surrounding communities detect potential heart problems early, enabling them to receive proper medical attention and monitoring as they participate in high school sports and events.

The Coon Rapids Fire Department Community Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and we are bringing together our community in our Fire Ball Gala on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Bunker Hills Event Center to raise awareness and funds to detect heart conditions early. Tickets are only $75 per person.

A portion of our net proceeds raised through this event will be used to purchase an additional AED that will be installed at the Coon Rapids High School. This will now be the third AED donated to the school, intended for use in the event that one is needed during a sporting event or training.
